What happened
On Sunday 24 May 2026, a video began spreading on X, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. It showed a group of people, described as a family, crowding at the window of what looks like a restaurant. They had left their table to watch something in a clear blue sky. The person filming zooms in on a small, bright object that seems to change shape and catch the sun. Someone can be heard saying “Gracias por su presencia” (“Thank you for your presence”).
Infobae Colombia covered it that evening and Occidente the next day. Coast to Coast AM picked it up on 26 May as “Curious UFO Mystifies Colombian Family”.

What believers claim
For believers the reaction is the story: a whole room of adults stopping a meal, some visibly moved, one thanking the object for its “presence”. Occidente reports that witnesses described “una esferita amarilla” (a little yellow sphere) that appeared to hover and move strangely. Some online commenters said it was “demasiado extraños” (“too strange”) to be anything conventional. One wrote, “Hay cosas que simplemente no tienen explicación” (“Some things simply have no explanation”).
What the research found
The clip is real and the date holds up. Infobae, Occidente and the YouTube upload all put it on 24 May 2026, and Occidente and Infobae both give the length as 53 seconds. Infobae’s report says the clip “dura 53 segundos”. It describes “un objeto pequeño y brillante en el cielo azul” (“a small, bright object in the blue sky”).
