Weekly Issue: 12 Oct – 18 Oct 2026

1. ‘From a Different Universe’: A Spiky Bright Object Over New Jersey (UFO/UAP)
- Case: RW-BC-2026-007 · Event unknown (recording date unverified) · First reported 2026-10-16
- On 16 October, IBTimes UK ran footage circulated by the UFO channel Caspersight that appears to show a bright object with spiky rays of light over New Jersey.
- Grades: Caspersight published a clip of a bright spiky object said to be over NJ: CONFIRMED; The clip was recorded recently in New Jersey: UNVERIFIED; The object is non-human: UNVERIFIED
- Mundane explanation: The “spikes” are a classic camera artifact: diffraction from the aperture blades or a smeared lens turns any bright point, like aircraft landing lights coming head-on, Venus or Jupiter, or a drone strobe, into a starburst.
