A Giant ‘Jellyfish’ Spreads Across Western Canada’s Night Sky
Between about 10:15 and 10:30 pm PT on 5 May 2026, a glowing white blob drifted north to south over British Columbia. A Falcon 9 had left Vandenberg at 8:59 pm. The timing and direction point to the rocket’s second stage dumping leftover fuel, not its launch plume.
