What happened
On 28 July 2026, Coast to Coast AM published a short clip it said came from Colombia. Its write-up reads: “Cops in Colombia captured footage of what appears to be an eerie shadow figure moving along a road in the middle of the night.” It said the video “was reportedly filmed earlier this month by a pair of police officers conducting an overnight patrol in the city of Medellín.”
The officers are not named, and no department, unit or neighbourhood is given.
The footage
Video comes first here, but the trail is thin.
- Who published it: Coast to Coast AM, on its own site and on iHeart, 28 July 2026. Neither page identifies the original uploader, platform or upload date. Coverage in Mexico (TV Azteca Aguascalientes), Germany (anti-matrix.com, 31 July) and the US (Garner Report, 30 July) all trace back to the same clip.
- What it shows: In Coast to Coast AM’s words, “at around 3 AM, the cops caught sight of the curious figure in the distance seemingly coming towards them.” It adds: “Although admittedly difficult to discern in the footage, the mysterious stranger largely resembles a dark silhouette with a head, shoulders, and long body.”
- What is missing: Garner Report says one officer “raised the camera and zoomed in,” but the darkness kept the camera from capturing any clear features or clothing. No length, original resolution or timestamped file has been published. The clip is not embedded here, because the original upload has not been identified. Watch it at Coast to Coast AM.

What witnesses reported
The only witnesses are the two unnamed officers, and their account reaches us secondhand. Coast to Coast AM says they saw the figure approaching. Garner Report says they reacted and zoomed in, which suggests they noticed something real on the road before filming. Neither outlet quotes the officers.
What the research found
The sourcing chain is one link long. Every outlet in this file cites Coast to Coast AM or iHeart. Coast to Coast AM cites no Colombian outlet, account or police source. Garner Report’s own conclusion is: “The footage does not provide enough detail to identify the figure with certainty.” It adds: “A person wearing dark clothing could easily blend into a poorly lit road.”
