“🛸 É FARSA 🚨 – AO VIVO DO LOCAL DAS LUZES”, a live stream by the YouTube channel NaLata Driver from outside Leão’s property, uploaded 7 June 2026 (about 6 h 53 min). The channel filmed a nearby campsite’s lights switching on and off from a similar angle. The title is the channel’s claim; we grade the explanation CREDIBLE, not proven. Leão’s original stories are on his Instagram and in G1’s report.

What happened

Mayk Leão, 31, is a nursing technician and influencer. He lives alone on a smallholding in rural Campo Largo, west of Curitiba, where he keeps about 280 animals. On Sunday 31 May 2026, he posted a series of Instagram stories. They began with agitated animals and a downed electric fence in the morning, then strange sounds from the woods. At dusk came blinking lights on the hillside he can see from his veranda.

G1, Globo’s news site, visited on 2 June. It reported that the stories went viral and that his following jumped from about 46,000 to 600,000, and later to “mais de 951 mil” (more than 951,000) by the time the article was published. He told G1 the object appeared “em cima das árvores” (above the trees) near the river, and that it stayed lit for “entre 20 e 40 minutos” (between 20 and 40 minutes).

Within a week, a livestreaming YouTuber, image analysts working with Portal Vigília and the ufology group ANUBIS had all arrived at the same answer: the lights belonged to Chácara Paraíso, a campsite and guesthouse on the ridge.

Timeline

  • 31 May 2026 (Sunday), morning to dusk: Leão posts stories of agitated animals, sounds in the woods, then the lights on the ridge (G1).

  • 3 June 2026: A Portuguese Wikipedia article, “Caso Campo Largo”, is created.
  • 3–7 June 2026: ANUBIS researchers carry out fieldwork in the area (D’Ponta News).
  • 4 June 2026, night: During a new livestream, Leão films the same lights in the same place. Chácara Paraíso posts stories showing its lighting (Portal Vigília, published 5 June).
  • 7 June 2026: NaLata Driver streams live from outside the property and films the campsite lights switching on and off. Leão appears on SBT’s Domingo Legal the same day (TecMundo).
  • 8 June 2026: TecMundo/Estadão reports a “possível solução” (possible solution).
  • 11 June 2026: D’Ponta News reports that ANUBIS’s final report matches the lights to Chácara Paraíso.

What believers claim

Leão told G1 he had no doubt it was technology from another planet. He said he felt he was facing something “que não era daqui” (that was not from here). He also described a second, very large object passing over his house after the lights went out, which he later drew. He said his footage is unedited, and he rejected suggestions that drones were involved or that the episode was a promotion for a science-fiction film. Viewers had compared the sounds in his stories to the trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day.

We take him at his word that the footage is unedited; nobody has shown otherwise. The question is what the lights were.

What the research found

1. The Air Force saw nothing unusual. G1 quotes the FAB, speaking through the airspace control department DECEA. It said that on 31 May “nenhum objeto foi identificado pelos radares de defesa aérea ou reportado por aeroportos locais com informações de objetos desconhecidos”. In English: no object was identified by air-defence radar or reported by local airports. It added that “o controle do espaço aéreo ocorreu dentro da normalidade” (airspace control operated normally). Since 2010, under Portaria nº 551/GC3, Air Force UFO reports go to Brazil’s National Archive, which publishes them.
